September 2010. I have a 05 chevy trail blazer whereby I hear a resonating, tuning folk-like sound coming from the right, passenger side dash of the vehicle. This sound is very low and intermittent. Same thing happened here. Everything was working fine until I replaced the battery. After that the air only blew from the defrost and floor vents. I disconnected the battery (no help), tried the hvac reset (no help), I finally had to replace the mode actuator. Seems like this is a cronic problem for GM, like everything else.

I have 2004 Trailblazer and had the battery replaced two days ago. After I drove away from NTB my AC, which was working fine prior to battery replacement, will not blow out of front vents When AC "mode" is set to blow out front vents it will only blow at my feet and windsheild. Seems to be cooling well, except air no longer comes out front vents.
Vent selector works. Fan selector works, both sides. AC light comes on and loads engine a tiny bit. Actuator gets nice and cold under hood. Hot air in passenger compart. Paid a fix it place $82.00 to find confirm what RAYVOY thought it might be. They say all evidence leads to a bad ac control panel. $205.00 for a new one.
