The biggest difference will be resolution if seeing allows, a tiny bit more brightness if that matters.There are plenty of 50-80mm scopes that put out quality images. From 102-130mm it's the same situation. A good 102mm doublet with a field flattener, reducer can be bought brand new for $1,300 or so.
