Remove T-Mobiles app and just use the built in voicemail via the phone app. Will appear as an option in the phone after you remove Visual VM. I never got Visual VM to work either and the built in one works great. I use the native voicemail app and have a similar issue with TMobile voicemail. I suggest not reinstalling the T-Mobile app. if you continue to have issues with the native dialer app voicemail tab or you just want to use the T-Mobile app and it still doesn't work you'll need to contact customer support to make sure there's not an issue with voicemail on your line.
