I truly think the TPK wasn’t planned and Brennan was forced to introduce the multiverse bits way earlier than planned, which threw a wrench into a lot of the narrative. ... then the Neverafter is doomed; that’ll seem a little strange, then, if two characters die (after not doing anything essential in the fight) and the group just continues ...So, after a TPK, if the campaign is viable to continue, I would ask the players if they wanted to get a new character and continue. If the campaign no longer makes sense, I'd spend the rest of the session pitching and discussing the next campaign and the type of characters the players plan to roll up.
