If they were talking Winchester, the WAA12L is gray and, and CB equivalent is the gray wad CB0178-12 If they suggested the WAAA12SL, which is pink, the CB equivalent is CB1100-12. Also pink. Normally, those 2 gray wads work best with 7/8 ounce shot.
Comparable to what's already posted I'm about halfway through my first 8 lbs jug of Clay Dot alternating between 1 oz and 7/8 oz loads using Remington hulls, Nobel primers, and Claybuster wads (specifically CB1100-12, CB0178 and CB4100). The XXL Pink's petals stand straight, whereas those of the CB0178-12 are flared out a bit, still no big deal. I see better uniformity in the patterns and more consistent crimps with good old Red Dot than with the CB0178-12L.
