Our local turkey shoots will be starting next month. Most of it is slug shoots with a few shot shoots. For the shot shoots they use cheap 7 1/2 or 8 shot. Was thinking of trying a Jeb's or Indian Creek choke in my 870 for this "competition". Which one do you feel would be best suited for this? kjb. I was told by Apex to get an Indian creek choke tube for my 20 gauge 870. I still didn't like the pattern it shot. Was recommended by a feller on this forum to try a Remington Super Full. I did. It performed great! I patterned it 40 yards and it is brutal. Sold my Indian Creek. The Super Full cost me about $25.

My advice is buy 3-4 of the chokes and sacrifice a box of shells to find what works best in your particular gun. You can easily sell the other chokes after you find what works best. I will say a Indian creek .555 at 40 through a SX3 running Hal’s 1-1/2 load is tight, too tight. Sep 30, 2021. #10.
