I didn't want a basic Springfield and wanted a forged reciever, completely unaware that LRB was a thing at that time. I knew of Fulton, Springfield, Bula, Norinco, and James River.

Back when they used USGI parts and before BULA started new production parts. JRA was using some Criterion barrels at that time and there was a batch that had rough chambering. Before you buy a JRA Rockola, ask for photos of barrel alignment, specifically feed ramps being centered properly was an issue I saw twice. I bought 3 of them when they first came out, with custom serial numbers. I also helped some of my friends get theirs ordered with custom numbers as well.
