The YOUTUBER shows that LC9S slide is a Slide Release, not a slide lock. The problem is something really not right. He is using the Lock or what Ruger calls the Slide Hold Open as a release. Anyone with a LC9S knows it is virtually impossible to fore the Lock down. So obviously he has done something to make it work at all.

I would surmise that Ruger detected a problem with the one slide spring being too light and then installed two springs on our recalled LCP thus making it harder to pull back. With the pistol empty, I have to move my hand around on the grip to get enough pressure to release the slide (using the knuckle, not the end of the thumb). The LC9s Pro had no difficulty feeding the jacketed hollowpoint rounds, and overall the gun was reliable and accurate with all three types of ammunition.
