The last time wood furniture seemed attractive on a tactical style shotgun was the Rem 870 standing upright in the middle of the bench seat of a Plymouth Belvedere, sometimes a AMC Matador, (with hemi interceptor engine) featured in the 1960's Jack Webb TV Series Adam-12. "One-Adam-12 respond"; what a great series it was.

If you want to reduce recoil, you generally want a gas operated gun. My other half has trouble with a 12ga Mossberg pump, and figured a semi might help manage the recoil. Redfox. We been seeing a lot of Benelli m4 clones coming out. I was able to get my hands on the adjustable stock clone. It was about $120 or so. With that in mind you are getting a lot, a complete recoil tube with everything in it, pistol grip and the adjustable stock. Of course for $120 it will be nowhere near the quality of a real benelli.

Looks like that 601 is a Benelli M4 clone just like the MAC 1014 and various others that I can't keep up with because there are so many M4 clones. The 1014 (and others) are supposed to take all the M4 Benelli parts. Which means Benelli-pattern choke tubes. I have a CARLON'S improved cylinder EXTENDED tube inbound now. To replace, simply slide the stock on, screw back in place and replace the trigger group. This works the same for the collapsable, since you just screw the small pistol grip portion on in place of a full stock.
