But hey, at least everything worked out in the end - now I have a fresh install of my whole OS, which was something honestly overdue, BG3 is running just fine once again and I managed to beat Ketheric before going to bed. Patch 4 - Graphic Bug. Since Patch 4 the game Graphic dont work anymore. Looks like most of the assets dont load including transparency settings of some assets like fog or similar. I decided to reinstall, and it hung at 92% so I left ir overnight, with no progress. So I stopped the download, erased the contesnts of the BG3 directory then tried again. It went trhough the Dog `n Pony Show of verifying the (deleted files) then immediately hung at 92% immediately. I am loving the game but GOG is on my last fucking nerve, HELP!

Long load times are normally based on the hard drive. Check what model you have. If it is in fact a hard drive, I highly recommend you get a solid state drive. Thats the single biggest increase you can achieve, and fairly cheap. Mind you since you're on a laptop you probably need to replace your existing drive.

I can't help you if you think 20 or so secs is too slow for you for loading a save game. It might be faster in the full release, but I don't think so. Nothing wrong with your system. My computer can run BG3 with certain settings turned down (low shadows, no god rays, no ambient occlusion, etc), but it stills eats up almost all of my memory to run the thing. The game will slow down, I'll have frequent frame drops, and when I load into an area, it takes ages for all the objects/terrain to render in.

Takes good 20-30 secods for even the location to be properly visible and playable. Not game breaking but weird behaviour.
