The base [Exalted Blade] doesn't really have deeps past a certain threshold, but if you build it for heat to help boost [Archon Vitality] with its double proc mechanic, it is the best way to go. A Tauforged shard boosts by a flat .375 crit damage per shard, meaning if you dedicate all 5 shards to it you get a whole 1.875 more crit damage. To simplify what that actually gains: you get 49.3% more Serene Storm damage, but use all 5 Archon shard slots for that boost. Of course, that assumes Crimson work like Azure.
