I believe there's a place right at the corner of San Ysidro Blvd and Camino de la Plaza which advertizes $10 per 24 hours, but I don't know if there any caveats to that. Easy park on the tj side is 125 pesos. I agree. The airport parking lots look safer than then non airport lots on US sude.
