All three were equally accurate, and the best groups I could get with each of them for 5 shots at 50 yards measured 1/4". I used a 20x scope for the tests. We offer two blued finishes for chrome moly steel barrels. The blued options are polished and blued or glass peened and blued. Re: Shilen Match VS Select Match barrels. One is straighter that the other and cleans up easier but they both seem to shoot well. My select match cleans up without a trace of copper while the other tends to have a small amout of copper in it. You will have to be a benchrest shooter to notice the difference in accuracy!

I’ll go with the Shilen ratchet .850 straight and a length of 24”. I looked at the list of equipment that top competitors are using and Shilen has much more presence than Benchmark. The 0.850 straight seems just a better fit for the factory varmint walnut stock…. Especially when you go with 24” length.
