There are plenty of 50-80mm scopes that put out quality images. From 102-130mm it's the same situation. A good 102mm doublet with a field flattener, reducer can be bought brand new for $1,300 or so. Even the 115mm triplets can be bought for $1,500 and a good field flattener, reducer is only $200.
