Can anyone tell me how to convert my '93 f350 4x4 dually to single rear wheels. I want to put on some 10" wide rims,but I can't do that with dually style rims. You need a SRW axle and a SRW bed. That's it. Oh, and single-wheel hubs for the D60 front. Ford didn't make a 4x4 dually in 93' (and a few more included).
To my understanding, the dually bed is the same as the single; the only addition is some huge (in essence) fender flares to cover the extra wheel. The dually axle is a lot heavier, and if you go to single wheels you can still have that heavy axle, and it's not hard to find a single tire rated at 4000lbs. I wish I bought a dually in a way and just put SRW on it, would give you a TON more capacity on the rear. 03+ has SRW 3500's however 02 and down did not.
