The gun has been functioning fine, I just noticed an interesting thing going on that I haven't seen. When I strip the upper from the frame, I can freely pull the striker back and forth through the safety plunger. Slide not always locking back, (more often than not it's not locking back) with an empty mag. Definitely not touching the release. A flick of the wrist and the slide will release.
