The Lost Sector exotic drop rate is not that high when doing regular Lost Sectors and instead you can get them by doing the Legendary and Master ones. Legend is 25% drop rate and master what almost all long hundreds of runs record end up close to 33% up and below. No need to over exaggerate mate, Before the buff to the drop rates they were 25% for Legend and Master was 33%. It's pretty much impossible you went 48 runs without a single drop, even 10 runs without a drop is very unlikely. That said I'm not 100% sure you can even get the older exotics the first time from lost sectors

Lost Sectors have ABYSMAL drop-rates, they are absolutely atrocious to play because of how boring they are. They are not hard, they are just riddled with BORING Champions that stifle gameplay. You can't really play with different loadouts or anything while you suffer the grind, because then you can't kill champs.
