Dove, high volume, small shot, anything over 1300 fps in steel will work. One ounce of #6 or 5 steel is great. Loads with Long Shot or 800X available. Quail and chuckars, less volume shells. Much tougher birds. Need 1400 fps loads of at least #5 steel. For wild chuckars, ##3 steel is even better with fours a minimum.

I am of the opinion that the suggestion of using the DRV-20 Down range wad in a STS case, would provide room for 15/16 oz. of shot. Lyman's #5 does list a couple of loads using the STS case and Longshot with the SP20 Rem wad, with pressures at 10,800 and 10,400 PSI, which would be suitable for tube sets.I use MEC reloaders, Remington STS primers, Claybuster wads, and Remington STS and Gun Club hulls. ... There's no question that they work in 7/8 oz. loads, but the question he was asking is about a replacement wad for the Rem. SP 20 wad, which is a 1 oz. 20 ga. wad. Has anybody had luck loading 1oz. Loads in a Premier Hull? I've tried three of the possible load recipies on Hogdon's site to no avail. Major crimp issues.
