Mae Richardson founded the Humane Society of Jackson County in 1928 as an all-volunteer organization that initially provided services for displaced dogs and horses. For the second time in less than a week, Oregon Humane Society is responding to an urgent need to assist animals in crisis and utilizing the new Behavior and Rescue Center as a vital resource.
