As others have stated, the button needs a quick press and release. If you hold the button down it will begin the "air out" where all of the windows and sunroof open to let hot air out during the summer. In most it is as simple as pressing the unlock button on the fob, then immediately pressing it a second time and holding it down. Works on our Accord as long as we are closer than 10 feet away from the car. Does not work at all on our HR-V. On our older cars it works without a fob by basically doing the same thing with the key in the door handle.
