Way too much info for a guy who just wants to put the best-priced, quality oil in his bike. No one seems to agree. From my studies there are 3 or 4 that are the top contenders: 1- Rotella. 2- Amsoil. 3- Mobil 1. 4- mutual (or something like that)There is no filter specific for synthetic oil. There are, however, filters with better filtering media vs. paper found in most filters. Mobil 1 M1-110 is one of them. Bosch 3323 is another. Both filters are made by Champion Labs and have the new media. Both are fine for the 1300.
