Previously I was running WICO > ICOW > WICO/ICOW Patch Now I am running ICOW > WICO > WICO/ICOW patch and the blackfaces are gone, so far. I suppose this means that the game was expecting WICO facegen values, but was being supplied with ICOW facegen values at the last stage, causing the blackface. If you question is “does WICO make vanilla NPCs looks like they are from another galaxy”, my answer is, I don’t think they do. And I don’t think that’s what the author intended.
