OK I am going to suggest exploring the Los Boliches area of Fuengirola. Assuming you will be on the M120 I suggest getting of at the stop Rotonda del 600 2426, this is just past the roundabout with a 'grass' covered Fiat 600 in the middle of it.
Steak, Estilo Campo, far end of fish alley. Fuengirola though, 20 min walk. By law, masks must be worn on public transport. A visit to Plan B for breakfast was followed by a stroll to the Bridge and Castle area. Plan B was fine. Bridge area not so much. There are massive workings on the beach for some distance either side of the river mouth.

Fuengirola and Benalmadena are only 15 minutes away by train. Trains run every 20 minutes during the day. Benalmadena is like three separate areas. There is the Marina area which is very popular with tourists. The last train on Sunday is 0:16, just after midnight.
